ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A work I wanted to paint for a home that needed an artwork to lighten up the room.
A work that your eye was drawn to and that made you feel calm and at ease.
I wanted lots of open space and to keep it “simple and clean”
Calm Days is a piece of art that was inspired by a friend of mine, someone who was looking for a statement piece in their living room, that would be both captivating and calming.
And as this person was involved in the global finance industry, I was inspired to create something that was both warm and yet calming, that drew your eye in and also relaxed your gaze at the same time.
And before I knew it, this artwork started to take shape under my brush, each stroke and addition adding a new layer of depth and complexity to the painting, whilst simultaneously adding up to something that somehow managed to make anyone walking into the room, take a deep breath and relax as their thoughts were lost while gazing upon the open spaces of the painting, which helped relax oneself and create a sense of ease and calm to ones day
