CORAL SHADOWS

I started this piece with no expectations, just painting layer after layer, trying to stay out of my head as I went. The strong, dark masculine colours and gold leaf are something that will stand out on any wall, a statement piece with depth and coral accents to represent the life in all of us, and the texture representing the journey of life, the ups and downs, the contrast, but no matter what, there will always be gold, and when the light touches this piece, it takes on a whole new life of its own, almost showing off and telling the world it may enjoy the shadows of night but it’s absolutely breathtaking in the light of day.
