BUSHVELD

I wanted to paint something that reflected the south african bushveld. Our beautiful landscapes and light easy on the eyes colour.

This artwork was something I was inspired to paint whilst out on a drive in the South African wilderness, a painting that spoke to the landscape without overshadowing it, something that reflected the sand and stone underfoot, the shades of green in the trees and shrubs and the golden shadows of sunset and the sun reflecting on rocks, with the vast African sky above. Something enjoyable and easy to look at, something not requiring too much depth or investigation, something relaxing
